What Is An External Hard Drive?

An External Hard Drive is a portable storage device that is connected to a computer or laptop via a USB or other data transfer cable. It provides additional storage space for users who require more storage capacity than their computer’s internal hard drive can offer.

External Hard Drives, much like a solid-state drive, come in various sizes and storage capacities, usually ranging from a 1TB to several terabytes. They are a popular storage option for backing up important files, storing large media files, and transporting data between computers.
