Force Restart An iPhone With FaceID

To force restart an iPhone with FaceID (such as iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, or iPhone 14 models), follow these steps:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button,
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button,
  3. Press and hold the side button,
  4. Release the button when the Apple logo appears.

Force Restart iPhone 8 Or iPhone SE (2nd Generation & Later)

For iPhone 8 or iPhone SE (2nd generation and later), use these steps to force restart:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button,
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button,
  3. Press and hold the side button,
  4. Release the button when the Apple logo appears.
